Who we are

What we collect
Your name and email from our sign-in provider, the tasks, projects and other content you create, and the technical logs and error reports we need to keep the service working and secure. Usage statistics: which features your account uses, under a random id instead of your account, never what you write. If you allow analytics cookies in a browser, also how you use the service in that browser, under the same random id while you are signed in. When you are signed in to the app, your analytics cookies choice and when you made it.
Why we use it
To run the service and your account, as our terms require (contract). To keep the service secure and fix errors, and to count which features are used so we know what to improve (legitimate interest in a reliable, useful service); error reports and usage statistics never hold what you write. To measure use in a browser with analytics cookies, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Who processes it
We use Fly.io, Neon and Clerk to run the service, and PostHog for error reports and usage statistics, and for browser analytics only if you allow them. Each one processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. PostHog stores data in Germany; transfers outside the EU rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, with standard contractual clauses as the fallback.
How long we keep it
Your account and content until you delete your account. Deleting it in Settings removes your data from the service; backups expire within 90 days. Error reports and usage statistics are kept for 12 months. Once you delete your account, they can be linked to you only until those backups and our logs expire (logs on our hosting provider’s schedule).
Your right to object
You can object to usage statistics at any time in the app, under Settings → Privacy, or by writing to privacy@bcc.cx. We then stop counting how your account uses the service; statistics already collected are kept until they expire.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to other processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to privacy@bcc.cx. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
